Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

These scans of original photos is a project I am working on for Jude Strader of Molalla. Her family has been in the logging business for several decades, and has an impressive collection of early photographs. In these images, you will see single log trucks, with a tree in the 7 to 8 foot diameter. You may also recognize the Covered Bridge over the Molalla River. And check out the bridges and log chutes that were temporary roads over deep ravines. These amazing structures only lasted until the logs were out, then, they too, were taken. If you were not there for the shot, it was gone forever. Some of the earliest images are dated around 1911. Others around 1939. In the coming weeks, I'll get the details of each image identified and labeled. Any additional information you have to contribute would be of great interest.
